The Math Club at Rensselaer meets weekly to work on challenging mathematical problems. The club is focused on working and discussing problems such as those found on math competions as well as other interesting problems suggested by students and faculty.

We would like to invite students of all majors to join the Math Club.

Many students in the Math Club also participate in the Putnam Mathematical Competition.

The Rensselaer Math Club was created by, and for, students who enjoy mathematics.  It is the policy of the Math Club to provide equal opportunity to all qualified individuals without regard to race, ethnicity, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, or disability. The club meets each week of the academic semesters. Each meeting is unique, while some focus on mathematics other meetings is just an excuse for the club to hang out or study together. Examples of weekly meeting include Putnam preparation, LaTeX competitions, and presentation nights. In addition to weekly meetings, the Math Club hosts workshops for the Rensselaer community. Namely, the LaTeX workshop, where Math Club members introduce writing LaTeX documents, and the Calculus Review Sessions, where Math Club members review some of the content covered on a given Calculus I or II exam.
